Heavily based on the F2003-GA the previous season, the F2004 continued the run of success the team has enjoyed since 1999, winning the 'Championship and the Drivers straight 5' 6 straight Constructors Championship team in 2004.
This car is based on the same design principles pioneered in the F2002, honed and modified even further. For instance periscope exhausts are smaller and placed closer to the center line of the car, the rear wing was enlarged and re-designed rear suspension to be more friendly to the tires, a big problem in the F2003-GA. The engine is designed to survive a full weekend in accordance with the FIA technical regulations for this season. As a result the gearbox also be redesigned to be more elastic.
